Dude, I seriously was just thinking about this earlier today. I'd be all for it. Can't play defense worth a shite, but he shouldn't cost that much, is still a good energy guy, good lockerroom guy, and gives us that spot 3pt shooting off the bench that we didn't have this season. Plus he can play a little point in a pinch.

Terry has annoyed the shite out of me for years by hitting ridiculous shots . If he can hit some for us without costing much money I'm okay with it.

Exactly how I feel. There's no way he will be a big money type deal. 1 year contract....coming behind Evans off the bench. 6th man material for sure

Not to mention Dramond would be a wonderful fit if we could get him.

Odds are he goes to someone like the timberwolves

He's in the final year of a three year/$15.6mil deal. I'd think his market would be around 1-2 years at around $3.5mil per.

This would be a test for me. I despise Terry. Irrational hatred. I just could not cheer for him.

Interesting this word would show up given that Bill SImmons has called him an irrational confidence guy for years

Man for years I have always thought "fricking Terry, again!" when he would hit shots against us but I always thought damn it would be great to have him.

[Marc Stein] Rockets expected to try to bring back Jason Terry next season

quote:

Facing the prospect of elimination from the playoffs Monday night, Rockets guard Jason Terry was adamant that Game 4 of these Western Conference finals would by no means be his last.

At 37 and soon to be a free agent, Terry told ESPN.com that he fully intends to return for a 17th NBA season in 2015-16.

"One hundred percent," Terry said before Monday's tipoff.

Initially dismissed as a Houston trade acquisition coveted by Rockets general manager Daryl Morey either as a future trade asset or as a swipe at the rival Dallas Mavericks, given Terry's long history alongside Mark Cuban, Terry quickly hushed such assumptions by emerging as one of the Rockets' strongest locker room voices.

And he has taken on a role in Houston's backcourt since the late March wrist injury that has knocked starter Patrick Beverley out of the postseason.

The Rockets are thus expected to try to bring Terry back via free agency come July. He's in the final season of a three-year, $15.6 million deal he landed from the Boston Celtics in the summer of 2012 after a eight-season run with the Mavericks that featured a championship in 2011 and an NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in 2009.

Earlier in the playoffs, Rockets center Dwight Howard said of Terry: "He's been a great veteran to our team, a great voice in the locker room, a great voice on the court wherever it may be. He's been consistent all year. He's done an excellent job bringing myself and James [Harden] closer as teammates and also as leaders of this team."

So what do we do with Ryan Anderson?

Holiday, Evans, Gordon, Cole, and Pondexter

Why? Where do we get the minutes to play him?

Definitely considering it would be nicer to add another real athletic SF with length.

Pondexter is a 3. And Holiday is a health question mark. And Gordon won't be on the team long.

Pondexter is a 2/3 and I don't see the reason of Terry being an insurance policy.
