I'm seeing people throw Shaka Smart's name around. I don't know much about him because I don't follow college much, but what college coaches have come to the NBA and had success? The high profile guys I remember, Pitino, PJ Carlisemo and Calipari, didn't do too well.

We have all been heavily optimistic for a couple years. Last night was the last straw because these losses all fall on Montys strategy. its time to move on or we will lose 10-20 more after leading by 15 in the first half.

He's never made it past the first round and the biggest thing on his NBA resume is getting choked by Latrell Sprewell.

I'm gonna make a thread halfway through the season. C'mon guys were only 45 games into the season.

There might be a difference between 9 games and 45 games.

5 times the difference, in fact.

Yeah. Unless the plan is to hire Karl immediately, they have to stay the course. Interim coach Hanners and Interim GM Loomis is a tank strategy.

Lionel Hollins is still available. He took over a dumpster fire Grizzlies squad and they got progressively better each year under him.

I'm sure he'd like a chance to coach this team and stick it to the Grizzlies 4 times a year.

it's not the MLB...9 games matter A LOT

Especially when those 9 games were against mediocre competition. There won't be an easier 9 game stretch all season.

Care to elaborate? Presser or just Monty doing a post practice interview?

More like- "We know there are things we have to improve. No one is more upset than all of us in the locker room. We are working very hard to correct those issues. We won't stop until we bring a championship to Mr. Benson and this city."
