How are AD and DC skillsets so "complimentary"?

One's a bit squattier, one's a bit lengthier. AD has more skill when it comes to alley oops with his length and athleticism. They both have wet dreams of being that Power Forward shooter from the elbow and beyond most of the game. From my novice's perspective, when both on court at same time, its just pushed AD further away from basket for most of possession. Need to do a better job keeping his length closer to rim.

Because they can both score from anywhere so they don't need to occupy the same space on the floor at the same time. If AD is posting up Cousins can be on the perimeter and have his man follow him and vice versa. Their skill sets don't need to be Fire and Ice different to be complimentary.

You was trying hard not to say "longer". Lol

makes sense. So they aren't ying and yang together, they are individually each a ying and yang. We've doubled up and ying yangs. its great they think they are great 16 ft shooters but i don't think its ideal when they become our outside shooters. Except for DC, that dude don't miss.

I agree, I don't like AD playing the Ryno role, but I posted an Xs and Os thread about some article where a guy had clips of Gentry's offense from Phoenix and the Clippers working 2 bigs together with a guard in a 3 man game. It didn't look that different from your sketch of the Triangle offense.

with the versatility of AD and boogie, it really does emphasize we need a PG with a handle that can create and constantly keep the defense on their Toes. JRue's a great PG, but man was he struggling last night with his handle. I'm not sure Jrue is the idea PG force constantly putting pressure on the D like we need.

At one point, Cousins was operating from the top of the key with the ball. AD posted up his man in the middle of the lane. Cousins delivers a good entry pass. Easy turn and score from Davis. Either one can operate in the post. Either one can draw their "big" defender out to the 3 point line.
We need a coach that can put these guys in unique situations that fit their talents. I've seen nothing from Gentry to suggest he's that coach.

They are, without question, more skilled than Blake and Deandre. Everything those guys can do, AD and Boogie can do and AD and Boogie can do more that the others can't
The difference is they don't have a guy like CP3. Also, they have had one practice together and playing park ball last night with no system
They compliment each other beautifully but it ain't gonna happen overnight. I don't worry about them one bit. I worry about the guards being aggressive enough and respected enough around them

Hopefully all of the compliments from AD will keep Boogie happy.
Unless you meant complement. . .
