An interview with Jrue where he talks about his injury
LINK He says "HECK NO" to needing another procedure although he says he does want to get the screw taken out. He has a rod in his leg that will stay, but they put in a screw to stabilize it at first. For the most part I think that's good news, but when asked why his recovery has taken so long he said he doesn't know and hoped doctors could give him better answers this summer.

it does take a while for your body to adapt to a steel rod and a screw, Hopefully him and the rest of AD's Peli-Pals are doing nothing more than playing some golf, sitting on the beach/at the pool and relaxing a little bit..

It's possible the screw could be the problem. With Durant they talked about possibly shaving down the screw. I'm not sure if he only has a screw, vs. rod and screw like Holdiay, or if his procedure was too recent to take the screw out.

I really hope Jrue doesn't need surgery. We will be a much better team with him as our starting PG for 82 games

I think Jrue has been the most disappointing Pelican this season (considering health)
Love to see him get right. Pels need him to become a quasi-star in order for this team to keep advancing.
Pray for JRUE.

It's just going to take time. The screw will cause more superficial pain than anything.
