I remember when we beat Denver with Dyson starting at PG. Not playing Dyson in this series was criminal.

And to those saying his offense is too bad to play in the playoffs. We just managed to put up the worst offensive output in the playoffs in the last 8 years with Dyson playing. There was literally no downside, we already had a historically bad offense

This is one of the biggest challenges facing the Pelicans moving forward. We can figure out roster construction, get healthy, change our offensive identity but if Willie stubbornly sticks to this "my guys" coaching style, I'm not sure most of that will matter.

Leading requires making decisions that may be a detriment to the individual but benefits the team. You will be disliked. Competition involves confrontation. Earned? Willie this is the NBA. EVERYONE has earned the right to be here. Who helps us win? Winning is rewarding but it can sometimes involve nasty work. But that's all that matters.

Besides, his rhetoric is BS. You struggled offensively for four games but your defense held it together and yet against a team that essentially plays 5 wings you glued one of your best perimeter and on ball defenders to the bench. It doesn't make a lick of sense other than loyalty to his guys. Someone in the comments pegged it right. Willie still thinks and acts like a player, not a coach.

Terrible take. How do you expect for a shooter to be effective in four minutes? Also, when he was in, his defender was glued to him which open it up more for the other guys.

BigPerm, immediately notate in your brain when people say "JorDaN wEnT 0-2" or some form as folks who clearly dont understand basketball.

Yeah you would think in a series where your team averages like 80 ppg, you would throws some shooters in the lineup lmao
