Not saying everything is perfectly fine in Pels land, but just to emphasize how much our schedule screwed us, the Warriors are up 93-49 on a fully healthy Grizzlies team at the end of the third quarter.

Again, the Portland loss was straight bad, but the Warriors are looking like an all-time great team right now. Playing them twice in the first three games pretty much means throw out our first three games

I may eat my words tomorrow, but our schedule couldn't have started any worse unless we played at Cleveland in the second of our back to back instead of Portland. I think we win comfortably tomorrow. Golden State is winning 70+ games if they stay healthy.

toughest schedule in the league until the New Year. sucks the Pels had to do B2B to open the season.

but the Warriors fricked the Grizz in the arse and may well beat the Bulls' record

One thing we have done in the rush to declare the season a failure already is dismiss how good Golden State is, especially on defense.

Warriors point differential in their 4 games (huge sample size):

vs. all - +25.0
vs. non-Pels - +35.0
vs. Pels - +15.0

We've also scored the most on them this year with 120, and held them to their lowest output at 111. I guess that's saying something?

I feel like I'm grasping at straws here, but I'll take it.

The Warriors may win 100 games this year.

I think it may be a valid point. Also, the two "non pelican" teams are the Rockets and the Grizz, so they weren't playing scrubs.

I'd rather get them out of the way early with half our team riding pine due to injuries. We could have had key losses to potential WC playoff teams with these injuries. Instead, we lost to a team we had a great chance of losing to anyway. It sucks seeing 0-3 in the standings, but we only play GS once more this season.
