Fight me in the street.

BI learning to share the ball with someone in crunch time is fricking great to see. They made the right plays in crunch time, sans a challenged 3 that Graham made anyways.

It's incredible to see sons.

Graham is pretty deadly on catch and shoot 3s. Especially when he gets to jump into it. Might just be my imagination but I would guess his catch and shoot % is much higher than his off the dribble 3pt%.

I'm a fan.

Definitely with you. Really I think a lot of Lonzo’s issues are playing without confidence. Graham has way more swagger on the court and that allows him to execute under pressure.

Zo is a hoe. It rhymes and the way he lets Klutch and his paw run shite, it’s true.

Goddamn Graham it rhymes and it was the best I could do.

Graham is cool bro, but Griff played himself by letting Zo walk for nothing and not replacing him.

We’d prob be the 4 or 5 seed right now if we had Zo in addition to Graham.

This thread is cringe and so is this fanbases unhealthy obsession with hating on Lonzo Ball.

Graham has been an better overall offensive player than Lonzo was, for sure. And he's really started getting more comfortable lately, understanding how he fits in the flow of the offense and knowing what his teammates are going to do. And I do like Graham as one of our closers, obviously.

On defense, it's a different story. Even though Lonzo would die on screens, he was one of the best in iso situations, and his length bothered a lot of shots. Graham is short, and guys also go around him without a lot of difficulty---he's a liability on that side of the ball.

Overall, I do not believe Graham is playing as well for us this season as Lonzo did last season.

I was just comparing their stats this season and they are very similar. I think Griff made the right call letting Lonzo walk. I’ve heard out of market pundits act like we were foolish for not keeping him and the narrative was that he is now flourishing in Chicago. But the stat sheet shows he’s the same ole Lonzo.

He’s an elite perimeter defender and the 6th most efficient high volume three point shooter in the league this year.

People talking about trading for Buddy Hield or dumping money at Duncan Robinson this past off-season when Lonzo has shot better than either offensively and is vastly superior defensively.

The issue with Lonzo and letting him go, whether you see him as the long-term piece or not, is that you did so without getting anything back except 15 million in bad contracts. Right now everyone talking about where we are going to make a splash, but I guarantee if you had Lonzo as a trade chip as opposed to Sato and Temple’s dead money, in a league where clearing the books to clear the books is not something almost any team is looking to do right now because of the play-in and the weak upcoming FA, Lonzo would be a very valuable trade asset going into this trade season. An elite 3 and D shooting guard that averages 5 boards and 5 assists is an upgrade to 75% of teams in this league, and can fit in pretty much anywhere.

1. I think you’re kind of abusing the word “elite”.

2. Comparing him to Buddy or Duncan Robinson is completely disingenuous. They’re shooting different shots.

Griff giving up Zo for negative value is inexcusable. I hope nobody is arguing that point, but I presume Griff's errors are just an assumption for any discussion on here. The biggest problem with the Zo trade is that CHI couldn't have signed him if we didn't facilitate, so how in the ever living frick do you get negative value when you have all the leverage?

Griff thinking he could sign Lowry is the only dumber thing imaginable than getting negative value for Zo.

I agree with you that keeping Zo for the trade chip alone was worth matching the salary. Lots of emotional thinkers on here convinced themselves that we'd never be able to trade him on a market deal, because they were scorned lovers upset he didn't want to be here.

He wouldn’t be elite for us. He was often lethargic last year and Klutch would have him pouting like a bitch right now.

I suspect Rich Paul said as much to Griff and really handcuffed him into the Chicago trade.

Griff should have forced CHI to either make deals to clear the cap or sign him to a lower offer sheet

They have a similar impact on offense, but Lonzo is much much better at defense. Last night when the game was close late, Cole Anthony was driving to the basket and scoring with ease, DG couldn't do anything to stop it.

The best thing DG has going for him is he's clutch, like freaking super clutch. Obviously he has the 2 game winning threes, but most of our close games he's hitting clutch 3's late.

Real question is does DG's clutchness and better contract make up for his lack of Defense?

I agree 100% but in a player driven league that further hurts our reputation.

I still would have done it, but I’m spiteful.

Graham is better fit on “this” team than Lonzo. There is no question about that. Do i wish we got more for Lonzo? Yes. But paying a guy $20M+ to a guy who isn’t a fit is a mistake.

The last 15 games the Pels have the 15th rated defense. I don't think he's hurting that much, so yes you take the clutch shots.

The real question is when you replace one of Hart/Herb with Zion, do you still have an average defense or is that where DG and JV's defensive flaws start to hurt you.
