Most certainly is. From his first season through this year. I've matured past berating athletes who have the misfortune of committing to a sports team in Nola. Ego is a starting guard in this league. Our team's owner, gm and staff are complete shite.
Jrue and Tyreke both get to the rim more and finish at a higher rate, but you are saying that Gordon is one of only a handful of players that can get to the rim at will. That is nonsense.

His FG% at the rim the past 2 seasons isn't very impressive.

Again, Jrue and Tyreke get to the rim more and finish better than Gordon, so do the Pels just happen to have 3 of the 5 players (handful) in the NBA that can get to the rim at will?

Jrue is not a tough task to guard. His game seems dependent on his playground skills. Ego is stronger, more athletic and has a harder drive to the bucket. Reke is just as good at driving as Ego but that guy has a serious problem with ball control at the basket. He misses far too many open lay ups. Elaborate on how you think it's nonsense.

Gordon had the lesser opportunity of the guards.

My thoughts
He's never going to be a healthy player. He can shoot. He can shoot really well when he's on the court. He put up 30 on the twolves and could've had more if gentry didn't suck.
He could get to the rim but I swear he got fouled all the time and never got the call. Drove me insane.
Can't play d. He gets beat on screens routinely. He plays the passing lanes just to make up for his shitty on ball d.
I wish it could've worked though because his skill set when healthy is what you need outside of his defense. Won't miss him just hope that we get Heild.

So you are saying Gordon is better driving to the basket without any facts to support that? Again the stats show Tyreke and Jrue are better getting to the basket and finishing. You say EJ Ego is stronger, more athletic and has a harder drive to the bucket than Jrue, but he gets to the basket less and finishes worse than Jrue. Nothing objectively shows that EJ is better than Jrue or Tyreke getting to the basket.
You said there are only a handful of players who can get to the basket at will, thus the Pelicans would have 3 out of 5 players in the NBA on their roster which is nonsense.
If you are saying that EJ gets to the rim at will better than Jrue and Tyreke based off of your own subjective evaluation with no supporting numbers, then that is nonsense.

Gordon hasn't been a good finisher at the rim since his LAC days. We never got that player
Evans gets to the rim better than anyone on our team. His length and athelticism hurt him a bit there, because if he could dunk with any regularity he'd be an elite finisher at the rim

I'm going to be very disappointed in losing him because he really filled a needed role in tightening up our cap space with his contract. Hopefully if he does leave Dell will find another player of equal or lesser talent and offer him an even bigger contract
