Dude had one of those games where you should come out and get your standing o with one minute left after the best game of his career. Instead he gets ganked with 5 minutes left to go never to be seen again.
Considering how much we all shite on him, glad to see him play so well and be the main factor in a win. Great game Solo!!

Well that was probably unsightly.

Well that explains why Solo played so loose tonight.

Damn this is a weak arse criticism, Hill played 38 minutes by the way. This is some truly unnecessary bitching after a great team win. What you want Gentry to play him for 43 minutes?
We ran really nice offensive sets tonight and pushed the ball hard. I enjoyed our set where we played Jrue off guard and rotated the ball to him through our big. Give Gentry some credit, and go sit down please.

Weak criticism? Dude had the game of his life tonight. Who knows how many years it will take to replicate that performance? Despite the obvious downside of not being able to pad his career high, he should have gotten treated like a star of a big win tonight because he was the star tonight in a big win.

Dude, 38 minutes is a lot. Five more and he wouldve played 43 minutes. Do you not understand what that means?????? Shut up already

Yeh, its not just a weak criticism, its also a stupid one. Gentry is not supposed to play somebody for 40 plus minutes just because you are happy he had a big night.

It happens all the time when a player plays out of their mind at home. A player will intentionally foul the other team so that the substitution can happen during the free throws and the announcer can go "in for your Pelicans, Jordan Crawford, replacing SOLOMON HILLLL"
30 points on 13 shots, 7 assts, 6 boards is by FAR the most productive game he's had as a pro. It was a tremendous performance, and he should have gotten the chance to hear the appreciation from the crowd like a 45 point AD game would in a blowout in front of a big crowd vs a really good team in your division. I can also tell you don't attend the games fwiw as your argument doesn't even come close to understanding what I'm saying should have happened.
I'm not arguing he should have played the entire 4th to pad his stats. I'm saying players like Hill obviously don't have games like this often, and it would have been the normal thing to do to make sure he gets his substitution "moment in the sun" or at bare minimum give him the option to finish the damn game himself. But you're right, Hill playing 43 minutes instead of 38 probably would have resulted in him leaving the court on a stretcher. These guys are pros. Unless you're Lebron or Kobe, they aren't gonna argue to pad stats or say "hey coach can you get me subbed out during free throws?" or pound their chest like hey look at me. It's up to the coach to make sure they get to fully appreciate these career nights.
