Pretty much everybody including national writers loved what they did in the offseason.

I liked what they did but it is definitely a bridge year. Building depth and role players. We don't have the high end talent, scoring or rebounding to be a 50 win team.

That's what I'm getting at

Yeah 50 isn't happening but 44-45 is a very reasonable high end bet.

The team play last night was far superior to anything last year they just came up short.

Let it play out a bit

they good enough defense to win
they had an otherworldly game from Davis
the pieces look like they fit better
this team is 3x short handed and will be for at least another month

if they get average bench play they win last night
they are going to get curbstomped by GSW and SAS coming up

after that there are winnable games they just need to hang on for the short term and make incremental improvement

This franchise is so stale it's pathetic. Same old shite every year and now they're wasting a top 3 superstar.

MAKE A MOVE FOR ANOTHER STAR!! AND DONT MISS!!

I know it's harder to do than say but myGawd how difficult can it be if this is your everyday, 24hr job?! Go get Vucevic for fricks sake, they just signed Biyombo AND there is reports that Orlando and Vuc are on the outs..

Now I get that Nola doesn't have much to offer but you still have some assets. You have future firsts, 2nds and players like Evans & Holiday.

Frazier looks good..yea he's not Jrue but at this point you'll lose alllllll of these assets when free agency comes around. They'll either walk OR you'll ask too much for them OR teams will say "why should I give you that when I know I'll have a chance to sign him in the offseason?" just like what happened with Ryno. Someone should've had their arse FIRED for letting him walk for FREE. Mind boggling.

Sorry for the rant, I'm a huge Pels fan and absolutely hate the thought of watching AD play his heart out and get no help whatsoever from the front office.

MAKE A MOVE.

Doing something like that is what a good portion of the fanbase has disliked.

Vucevic is a really nice player but not worth cashing in on the assets that they're building up recently.

I'd rather have reke be showcased and moved for at least a neutral asset and the team isn't moving jrue unless it's something crazy.

You are way off on the market value of the Pelicans current assets. You also are not taking into account that several teams have been collecting assets specifically to trade for a star. For any player we wanted we would have at least 2 other teams like Boston/Denver outbidding us.

They did. They stopped trading picks for quick fixes that didn't fix anything and are now in a position where they can collect assets. The time in CP3s contract where we traded him would be after the offseason in 2019-20 on AD's timeline. That means the Pels will have 3 more drafts to add to Buddy/Diallo. Keep drafting and developing talent and maybe you'll finally save up enough to trade for a 2nd star before AD is ready to demand a trade.
