Genuinely why can't he be evaluated in one week. Why does it have to be two? He should be reevaluated every fricking day until he and the team determine he can return.

Stop excusing Zion for coming into the season out of shape

I'm not excusing him. I'm saying that when he was averaging 20, 6, and 4 out of shape, he was a better option than JRE. And, I'm saying arbitrarily pulling him at the 6 minute mark regardless of how he was playing was absolutely idiotic. Doing it repeatedly for 5 months is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen a professional do without losing their job.

Two weeks from today would be game 5 of the first round.

Even if we made it to that point we’d most likely be down 3-1, there’s no way they would entertain bringing him back at that point.

What was the deal with Ingram not going back in at end of game? Was he injured too or Willie being a dick?

The fact that Zion keeps straining his hamstring you have to wonder if he does the right stretches pre game because it's never a tweak like what Booker had against us in that playoff series. As some had already mentioned before I 100% believe the mysterious leaving the bubble was a hamstring and that is why he came back in such poor shape.

Zion getting hurt again and not finishing the season was the worst possible out come. You can't ever depend on him being able to go on a deep playoff run because the intensity he played with last night is how you have to play every game in the playoffs and he couldn't make it through one game.

Anyone know if it's always been the same side?

It's the opposite of all of his other leg injuries.

I’m praying for a Willis Reed moment for Zion . But I guess Griff sees it differently

ESPN Sources: Pelicans F Zion Williamson’s (left hamstring) is out for Friday’s Play-In Tournament elimination game vs. Sacramento and will be evaluated again in coming weeks. Huge blow for New Orleans.

Damn hope our guys can step up.

Damn we f**ked. Even if we make it into the playoffs we still f**ked. Even if it is a minor hamstring strain it will hurt like heck and limit his mobility. I sustained a minor hamstring tear last winter and I was hobbling for 6 weeks with PT. Zion is a much much much much much tougher SOB than me if he is able to play in the playoffs if the Pelicans are lucky enough to make the playoffs.

Well he is done for the season unless we can slip into the playoffs and knockoff the #1 seed without our best player.

Even if we somehow advance against OKC.. I think if we’re being realistic we all know Zion won’t be in basketball shape in 2 weeks. We can’t afford to have a ramp up for Zion in the playoffs. I would give it a 0% we see Zion again this season

I honestly thought this one year would be the exception. Guess I was wrong. Last night was just cruel to so many pels fans.

LINK

They are selling upper level tickets on Friday with a zip hoodie for $25. Guess they are struggling to fill the seats with Zion being out now

This. Z's career has proven thus far that he is a worthless asset for the playoffs.
