Shot the lights out, but wow... He is having trouble seeing passing lanes. Brutal.

He has turned into a great off the ball player with limited ability to create. Much different than I was expecting when he arrived here. I wish we could finally have him & Jrue on the floor at the same time for any significant stretch, because I think he could slide into a more ideal role in that scenario.

He is king of the dipshits. If you aren't that great he will abuse the hell out of you.

A couple of his turnovers weren't his fault, really. Made a couple of dumb plays but most of his passing problems were due to Ajinca and Asik existing.

Looked like vintage Gordon to me.

He had a stretch where he was distributing the ball well, but lately he is just throwing the ball too hard and to the wrong people.

I thought those were pretty lousy passes.

Yeah you didn't watch the game.

If Davis or Anderson is the roll man then Gordon has few turnovers in the game.

It also didn't help that he basically got double teamed half the time because the Jazz didn't respect the other half of the pick and roll.

We had zero offensive prescence at PF/C so it's really not his fault.

I blame the sloppy execution out of timeouts

I mean, any competent offensive player would have handled them.

Yeah. I get my jollies logging onto message boards immediately after a game ends and posting stuff about random players hoping that I guessed correctly.

Eric Gordon did 3 things tonight. He hit 3's at an amazing clip... Or he took two dribbles into a double team and had the ball taken from him... Or he Nolan Ryan'ed a pass to a clumsy center.

^I mean, I'm just guessing. I didn't watch the game.

Just saying it is dumb to criticize when we basically only run pick and rolls. 2-3 of the passes were straight frick ups by guys who should be able to handle those passes. The other issues mainly came from the fact our active roster is full of end of bench or defensive specialist. Utah correctly just basically dismissed the roll man.

Utah adjusted and the Pelicans didn't in the second half.

Quin was competent enough to get his guys to start ignoring the roll man on the pick n roll and we were all like.. yeah sure here's the ball guys.

All fair points. Gordon still looked like Josh Gray out there. NBA players should know how to handle a double team... and everyone knows you have to gently hand the ball to Asik and help him dunk like he's a toddler you're holding over your head.

This

You have to know who your passing to, Gordon should never have thrown that hard of a pass at Asik or Lexi

AD and EG are the only two on this team that get the ball to Asik properly for an easy dunk. One frickup doesn't mean he can't

Was this the first game you've watched? Gordon has arguably been our best passer this year.

Yep, Ajinca did a really bad job of spacing after picks, allowing double and sometimes triple teams on the ball-handlers with no safety valve.

He has a 1.88 assist/turnover ratio. That is not good. It has him ranked as the #23 SG in the league. Well outside of the top-50 for all guards.

He has played great of late, but his passing has been sub-par. I am surprised this is being disputed by anybody.

I can see this explaining a lack of assists on pick & roll plays, but it really doesn't justify a turnover. If the space isn't there, don't make the pass.
