Can we get a little love for this guy? without him changing his game from needing the ball in his hands to being such and effective off ball guard complete with the killer catch and shoot 3's hes been raining all year, the pels wouldnt be in this spot without him.

The "hate" for him really wasn't called for, although it was only natural for everyone to be frustrated with his injuries (I'm sure he was). It wasn't his fault an idiot in Phoenix offered him max money that the Pels had to match (and, really, they had to do it, imo). Plus, he's kind of a quiet guy.
But since he's gotten healthier, his play has been solid and, at times, sensational. Maybe not worth the money, but damned good. He contributes a lot.

The funny thing is if you go to all the players Instagram accounts his has the most Pelican pride. He has really turned it around on and off the court. Would love to stretch him.

The guy is just super introverted which makes him come across as unlikeable or disinterested in the media.
Aside from a few of his Phoenix comments, (and plaguing injuries which he couldn't control) he has done nothing negative to garner the majority of the hate he got.

As an EG fan and defender while everyone was crapping on him, the hate was most certainly warranted. Those PHX comments were dumb. He never went out of his way to retract them and praise NOLA. The fire we've seen this year was not there in the past.
HOWEVER, if you hate him now, you just plain suck. He's done everything right and more this year.

He isn't a bad player or person, he just has a bad contract. Now that he is healthy perhaps he can really be the asset we thought he would be.

He is an effective player and seems to be in better shape. His contract is bad however.
