Man I have been Dyson’s biggest critic. I’ll eat my crow if this is the Dyson we get moving forward. His confidence and most of all his attitude. The techs and talking smack- its like Herb is rubbing off on him. Dyson is finding himself and at the perfect time. Really really impressed by him lately.

He’s been different since he returned from the injury. More confident shooting, playing bigger than he is on defense. If he can develop a consistent-ish 3 point shot like Herb has this season he will be a huge asset moving forward.

Kid has really been in the gym working on his jump shot and his offensive game. This team deserves to be a top 6 squad abd I think we win out and take this motherfricker.

I understood the people questioning his current rank in the rotation, but some of the Dyson hate has been completely irrational. And for people that think he’ll never be good on offense, Herb, Naji, and Jose have all become way better on offense than any one of us ever imagined. So it’s not just hoping when you point to his age and say he should get better.

Outside of the Boston game, he's played great since coming back from injury.

He has a good mentor in Herb. Seems like a guy is willing to work hard. Just got to be patient

Yeah he's young .He's looked better but I confess I've had my doubts about him becoming a genuine two-way player. He just seemed so stiff on offense and he's certainly suffered in comparison to Jalen Williams taken a few spots after him, but agree there is time for Dyson to get better.

It's almost like it was a bad idea for people to completely judge him as a player based on his first game back after being out for forever.

Frustrating because Williams has BLOSSOMED into this secondary star for OKC. As good as Dyson has played defensively, his offense being awful has made it look worse.

@22 years old, William is a 20/4/5 player shooting 54/43/81 while playing average defense.
OBPM +2.1, DBPM +0.2, BPM +2.3

@21 years old, Daniels is a 6/4/3 player shooting 45/31/64 while playing elite defense.
OBPM -1.9, DBPM +2.5, BPM +0.6

We just really need average offense Daniels..

Jalen Williams was the steal of the draft and not top a 10 prospect, it’s a bad comparison.

Dyson played great D.

I loved how physical he was. I loved him shoving Booker. I loved thr to uh on thr two floaters and the confidence on the 3s.

I hated that pathetic reverse. Joel did too. He needs to never go up with that weak shite. Gather and finish strong

Thunder didn’t even think Jalen would be that good. They drafted Dieng over him. Comparing the two isn’t really fair.

I've been saying it. Dyson is our small ball 5. He's kinda like draymond in that role in that he can pass, rebound and feast on the easy buckets.

His offense still needs a ton of work but he's been able to stay on the court because he's been taking what the defense gives him and scoring the simple buckets

Dyson is in the same mold as Herb. If you like Herb, you like Dyson. Dyson just needs to improve his 3pt shot. just like Herb did.

Yea you’ve been on his arse more than anyone. I’ve said on here I think by year 4 we should know what he is. I’ve been super high on him since before the draft and thought it was stupid all the trade DD talk recently.

The only reason people were wanting to trade Dyson was to consolidate talent into a bigger player for the team.

There were a few posters who called him a bust and said by not trading him at the deadline, it proved we waited too long to cut bait.

I like the way we used him on offense last night to counter the Zion wall. It was really effective. They had him dive into the key between the free throw line and the restricted area in the paint and we got him the ball and he was basically our offensive hub with all the attention going to Zion and CJ. He got open looks for his floaters when the defense kept their attention on Zion, CJ and our shooters. And when they tried to collapse, he got the ball to Larry while he dived to the basket from baseline for an easy bucket.

This is a really smart way to use Dyson on offense and his ability to hit those floaters reliably will open up a lot of things for this offense.
