It sounds like they were more benched until their contracts run out. They were told that if they work for somewhere else they lose what they are still owed on their deals. So either they take a vacation, get a new job, or find stuff to do for ESPN until their deals are up.

And destroyed it because he had no clue how to adapt. He gave unbelievably disastrous contracts. The game changed and he had no idea how to change with it.

There are literal treatises written (not making this up) on how terrible a GM he actually was for the last several years. A lot of people now think he may have just gotten really lucky in those first few years, with just how clueless he was the last 5ish.

He may have learned but I'll let someone else take that chance.

we already have a solid GM employed in the Front Office in Danny Ferry...need to just rip the Demps bandaid off. Good luck to Joe

i think the grant hill injuries may have played a part in this also.
