If we somehow still get Kispert or Duarte, on paper this is an absolute homerun

Both Murphy and Kispert just make complete sense. Upperclassman, good size wings, both can shoot the lights out. Perfect fits.

I know they worked out Trey Murphy, so he’s definitely on their board.

You shouldn't judge a guy by highlights, Frank Jackson's highlight reel was a perfect fit with the way the Pels were playing. BUT, Trey Murphy is tall, long, hit's deep 3s and in the highlights he scores a decent amount cutting to the basket and being the dump off guy. He looks like a really good fit too.

Agreed. There should be a guy who drops, just like last year with Bey.

Alperen Sengun, please.

What's with the Sengun love in this thread? A wonderfully promising post player, but he plays in the same space that Zion & Valanciunas already play.

The Pels need 3 & D, Sengun's known weaknesses. Whereas, Kispert, Murphy or Moody are the right fit for the most pressing team needs.

Right. If Moody falls to 17, some very poor decisions were made.

I really like Murphy. Besides the elite shooting profile and great size, I've been impressed with his maturity from watching some of his interviews. He was basically The Man at Rice, but still wanted to get better even at the cost of accepting a smaller role at Virginia. If he develops to be a Cam Johnson like he's often compared, that will be a great pick for us. But beyond that, I think there may be some unrealized potential to his game as he continues to apply himself on defense. I think he's also still learning how to play at his size. He has a huge growth spurt going to his senior year in HS then grew another couple inches going into Virginia.

If we look at Griffin's history so far, while we are focused on a Kispert or Murphy...

I think he is going to be more interested in a Keon Johnson or Ziaire Williams at that spot. I think he values underclassman with high athletic ability and upside.

3 pt shooters and 3 pt shooters. Cam Thomas or Kispert would be awesome.

There are like 6 guys in that range that shoot better than Thomas

If you like him and see the potential, then you take him.

You know that Denver drafted Nurkic in the first round, then Jokic in the 2nd round of the same draft.

ATL drafted Reddish after drafting Hunter, then doubled down on that and went get Bogdonovich and Gallo. Drafted Okungwu when they had Collins.

It's never a bad thing to have too many good players, or as we like to call them sometimes, good assets.

I, for one, will be betting that we trade 17 for a future first. Ideally to a lottery team

We don't need to be adding more rookies now that Zion has set the clock. Need to keep stockpiling assets for what may pop up in the future

I, for one, will be pissed if we don't make a pick in the 1st round this year.

There is no reason we shouldn't be making top 20 draft pick. we aren't a playoff team. we aren't a FA destination. Draft picks are crucial to our long term success.

Draft picks are crucial. Especially when they haven't been driven off the lot yet

It's not about being an FA destination. It's about the trade warchest

we have more than enough future draft picks to satisfy this need, as well as the need to develop your own young talent by making picks.

Saying we don't have time for rookies is just stupid, and is the reason we don't have AD, and the reason Cleveland lost Lebron the first time.

cam probably available at 17.

kispert likely goes in 8 to 14 range.

we tdgms must have several options.

todays mock has kispert to Memphis at 10.
6 2 pg from wv to pels at 17.
miles mcbride long arms. fast. 41% 3pt.
Springer and butler available.
one of those three pgs to pels.
this pick may be the gem.
some say Springer is better nba prospect than suggs.

(1) Jared butler
(2) Zaire Williams
(3) Jaden Sprigner
