Does Buddy Start? Do you want him to?

Do you think Buddy starts game 1 and do you want him to? Personally, I am hoping we get a solid vet two guard in FA and bring Buddy off the bench for at least the first half of the season

If Tyreke is still around I think he and Jrue start game 1 if he's healthy. Buddy may be starting by the end of the season though.

You need a another 2 regardless. Depending on who it is, I dont have a problem working him in slow. Dont want to throw too much at him at once and risk killing his confidence

I would prefer to bring off the bench and sign a vet 2 guard for a low price then let buddy take over next season as the starter

the pels are not doing anything next year, break him in because he'll be 25 by the time this team is good enough to get in the mix

I would be shocked(pleasantly so) if Buddy starts.
I think it has to be Evans spot to lose at the beginning. Plus Evans has a history of being stubborn with being on the bench. Not to mention a contract year so he will want to hunt stats because he's that kind of player.
I think Hield comes off the bench and is starting by next year, maybe the all star break if we trade off Evans. We are in win now mode so they will anchor to the veterans. I would bet Jrue, Evans, Qpon, Davis and Asik are the opening game starting lineup barring more injuries.

I'd love to sign someone like Alan Anderson or Brandon Rush to start the season and let Buddy come off the bench. I should add, I hope Tyreke is gone and Frazier is back. I think Frazier could set Buddy up with some nice looks on the second unit until he is ready to start

Agreed on Frazier. think it could be a really nice 1-2 punch off the bench. Allow Buddy to get his heels wet in the NBA and not throw him to the sharks.
Maybe we can move Tyreke to one of these teams that have missed out of trading in to grab Dunn?? Wouldn't be for much obviously but maybe luck is finally swinging the Pelicans way for a change?

We will know how unlucky the Pels are by looking at Buddy's games played. Like Jrue, when we acquired him, he hadn't missed a game in years

I don't think any team will have the balls to trade for Reke until his medicals come back okay and that could be a while. But man, if they can dump him tonight; this will be a B+ or A- night for me
