I'm still partial to JVG, but I'd take Cal in part because our biggest problem in the AD era has been the GM getting players that don't fit what the coach wants to do. Demps managed to do it with 2 different coaches.

Cousins is the answer. We haven't had an NBA big (except for AD but he plays so far away from the basket) since Emeka left.

kind of agree....

Let Cal do whatever he wants....first move is to trade whatever pieces we need to for John Wall.

Duo of Wall/AD can go far.....nice pieces to surround him. Lets go!

Cal's son is in college at UK and playing as a walk-on. Mrs Calipari loves it. I don't see him leaving. He would demand 10 mil a year with a huge guarantee. He would also demand full control, president and GM. Dems would be gone. It's possible he would leave for enough. He loves AD, DeMarcus could come and he would probably go after Wall. His former players would love to play for him. They are all close. I'd like to see it. Could be some fantastic basketball and a full arena. I don't know who UK could get to match his success.

Cal and AD won the 2012 NCAA title in New Orleans.

Reunited in the Big Easy. It was meant to be.

Why would you want cal? He's already failed in the NBA and is a shitty in game coach. He wins at Kentucky bc he has tons more talent than anyone.

If he can recruit grown men like he does teenagers, bring him on.

That's the rub, can he? He has draft dreams to sell college recruits, what's he going to sell with the Pelicans considering the current state of the team and how he flamed out the first time? There also is the not so small detail that Cousins has 2 years left on his deal and Wall has 3 and the Pels don't have the assets to trade for either.

I'm pretty sure after this year Boogie only has 1 year remaining. They will have to negotiate with him before he starts the final year to keep him. I think they will trade him. He may want out.
As far as Cal failing before, look at the rejects he was coaching. Sam Cassell was his star. He did take them to the playoffs with a shite lineup. He's a HOF for a reason. He can coach.
Wall will have 2 yrs left. He signed a 5 yr deal, Boogie only a 4. If the 4th yr is an option he is gone. He would probably want a big market team. Only way he would consider New Orleans would be Cal.
This team needs new ownership or new management at the top. Pathetic AD is in his 5th year and they have built shite around him.

That's was my way of saying he ain't leaving KY. Why would he? He's got enough clout in college to where that program essentially runs itself. What's Cal got to sell to top level pro FA's? Pretty much nothing.
