As I said everything is not tangible nor black and white.
It is in my book.

These little toughness cliches and "developing a winning attitude in the locker room" lines don't do much for me.

I think you're absolutely incorrect if you think .500 is not better than a far worse record without a top five pick.

But why assume that we won't get a pick?

If it came down to records, assuming we would not pick in the draft either way, no shite would I rather be 41-41 as opposed to 33-49.

But we are closer to getting a top 5 pick than making the playoffs.

I don't understand how anyone thinks we can outsuck the bottom teams this season. Its not going to happen. Why not cheer for some wins and support a winning atmosphere or better yet let's tank this year...just like last year..and the year before that..and why not next year...and the next year...

Gordon is the only capable NBA player out of that group and he isn't even that good.

This isn't about tanking anymore brah, this is about not rushing back your players in a season where there really is not much to gain.

I used the "we are closer to a top 5 pick than the playoffs" example to cool the jets on people who want the players to play through injuries.

I've given up on the tank.

The tank is dead

Mediocrity and silly cliches about team-building and winning attitudes are all we have going for us for the next couple of months

sigh...

Has zero to do with that.

"developing a winning attitude in the locker room"

Hmmm, may be a little overstated sometimes, but if you've played competitive sports you can't believe that winning or losing has no effect morale, team culture, attitude or however you choose to phrase it. Plus, the effect on the fans and franchise in general is not negligible. You may not think that's important at all, and that's cool.

I suppose I could pull out my old chestnut from a couple of seasons ago and point out how many of the tankers or naysayers when it comes to winning are just guys trying to sound more sophisticated or mature when it comes to the game.

But I won't.

If you wanna cheer a tank you can always become a Bucks or Raptors fan. The Raptors have been tanking and losing for 15 years. They seem like the type of team a lot of posters on this board could cheer for.

I'd love to cheer for a team that's third in their conference.

I hate to drop some reality on you here, but as a Pelicans fan, we pretty much are in the same class as those guys

You do sound sort of like a dick with that mantra, but I really don't think you are.
