David Griffin flipped Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday into:

- Six first-round picks
- Brandon Ingram
- Lonzo Ball
- Josh Hart
- Eric Bledsoe
- George Hill
- Two pick swaps

What a tremendous turnaround in philosophy

3 I think. The last one is a deferral to 2025 if we decide we do not want 2024 Lakers pick.

Sam Presti and David Griffin have basically created trade inflation. Every GM is going to think they should get three or four first rounders and two pick swaps in every deal now.

frick you’re right. I had it in my head there was a useless 2020 swap for some reason.

Griffin is a fricking legend. Jrue has become so universally regarded as “underrated” by literally everyone he has in fact become massively overrated. Dude would have a couple games here and there where he was amazing and then 10 games where he bricked shots, turned the ball over and shite the bed in clutch time. This was a fleece of epic proportions

Remember when Griff said Jrue is the leader of the team. And this is his team. Griff was playing 4D chess last year. He knew today would come

Best part is the fact that Griffin didn’t have to take on bad contracts in the process. Both Bledsoe and Hill are high end veterans who should be tradable and are on good contracts. Both guys have contracts that have a large portion of their salary unguaranteed in their final year of their deals. Even if Griffin decided keep one of them, their contracts won’t affect the team’s flexibility going forward.

Yep, they are good solid veterans you will likely be able to exchange for either draft picks(lol because we might as well just have them all), young talent on a vet team, or just have around as vet talent to guide the youngsters.

As well as flipping 1 of the picks( Fakers at #4) to Atlanta for 8,17 and 35. So 7 first round picks and still growing .... Griff playing chess

I think he included them as picks. We received 3 picks from the Lakers, and turned one of those picks into Jaxson and NAW.

Wish this was the NFL but it isn't.

Let's hope the picks translate into something at ALL star level or this process will be a flop.

Basically, Griffin is showing how a real GM runs a team. Demps should never be hired to be a GM again. Lol

and 2 future 2nds from Cleveland and getting Atlanta to take Solomon Hill's contract to allow us to sign JJ.
