Cleveland gm will not be back. Is he any better than Dempsey?

I would love to have him here TBH. Very underrated.

Very savvy GM when he's not being coerced by LeBron to max out shitheads like Tristan Thompson. He'll land somewhere soon. We can only wish it's here

Would love to bring him in as "consultant" and to be the guy after Dell is done

If you're Benson to you send Loomis on a Knights errand to gauge Griffins interest? Or do you hold to the belief that Cleveland was/is all Lebron's doing?

Griffin missed 3 job openings.

He will wait till next season for interesting offer.

Not wishing Dell bad, but Griffin is great with limited space and resources.
Pelicans soon might have limited space (after DMC re-signing)

Now is a prime opportunity to bolster the Pels FO and he'd be a good one to have in there.

David Griffin is not coming to the Pels to work under Demps. and he's not coming to be the GM if Demps is canned.

he can pick his next job, why go to a losing team that would be running down the clock on the Davis era? also, why go to a shitty ownership group that doesnt seem to care about basketball all too much? like top tier coaches, these guys value being paid their worth, support, and environment. the Pels are poor in all three areas.

Oh, I don't think he's coming but the Pels should pursue. Also depends on what's out there. Lot of unknowns right now.

There's a lot of drama with this concerning Gilbert and Lebron now. I doubt anything materializes but it would be great to see Lebron leave him twice.

wasn't a shot at you.

i would be thrilled to get Griffin to run the team. just like i would have been thrilled to get Durant last summer.

there are just structural realities right now that do not make the Pels attractive to the top level players (front office and on court) across the league. some of that is inherent (i.e. smaller market), some of it is self-inflicted.

if they ever get serious about fixing the things they can as an organization, i think the market size starts to matter less and less.
