He has shot under 40% from the field for 4 of the 5 games so far.

Forget the shooting. He’s too cool to hustle unless he has the ball.

I agree. If he can hit his midrange, we are harder to beat.

He's going to be an incredible 3rd option next year.

Uh, I imagine all of them can go 1/8.

His shooting cost me $200 on my $10 parlay.
Hit on the other 6 legs, yet this jabroni goes 1-8 from 3. He hits one more 3 and it’s a night I could have at least won money on while the Pels lost.

Every time they hit a big shot, crowd gets in it, here comes CJ 4 seconds into the shot clock with a fader from 30. He is who he is, poor man’s James Harden. Hopefully Willie can make it work

I’m tired of the fricking CJ slander. He was bad in games 4 and 5, no doubt. But here are his lines from 1-3:

P/R/A
25/8/6 3/8 3pt
23/8/9 6/10 3pt
30/4/6 4/11 3pt

26 points, 6.7 rebounds, 7 assists, 45% from 3.

Mid range has been off all series. He’s had a tough time in ISO against Bridges. But he has been facilitating at a high level and been knocking down 3’s. That didn’t happen in 4/5. He was a combined 1/17 from 3 in those two. We need game 1-3 CJ back to have a chance.

Great point, very frustrating how quickly some are to give up on him after literally 2 bad games.

We knew CJ would struggle this series. It's arguably his worst matchup. The bigger concern for me is the coaches not taking the ball out of his hands more, specifically last night. There's no reason CJ while he's struggling leads the team in attempts. Jonas only takes 11, Nance 2, Trey doesn't take a single shot.

They are new basketball guys

BI was just as bad last night. The entire team sucked due to floor spacing impart to bad rotations. We literally played 4 on 5 since they didn't bother gearing Hayes with the starters.

Exactly. Basketball is a matchup game more than any other sport, IMO. Seems like their plan so far is to give BI whatever he wants and clamp down CJ. The weeks of the play-in were the opposite. BI had lower point totals and CJ was going off. It's all based on the other teams strengths and how they choose to guard/who they decide they can live with. They've decided out of the 2 they can live with BI burning them and not CJ...for whatever reason they have for that decision.

However this all can remedied if we only had a player that has the gravitational pull of Jupiter on the floor...

Mikal Bridges is going to lock down almost anyone he guards. He's 6'7 and long and just finished 2nd in DPOY voting. Monty basically said I'm going to take CJ out and throw bodies at BI and see if he can hold up. I just don't think CJ can have much success in the mid-range in this match up. Quite frankly, very few players in the league would. That being said, we're going to need him to figure something out if we want to have a chance to win this thing.

Unfortunately trash like that is common on message board sites like this. Just have to tune it out as much as possible.
