Any chance Dell does this? I definitely think it's worth it to take a shot on a guy like Melo Trimble...upside adds depth at a position of need and if it doesn't work out we probably haven't' lost much depending on the deal made. Thoughts?

Yes we do and we'll be selecting Dwayne Bacon out of FSU with that pick.

I'd like Bacon, but I'm about 98% sure we won't have that second round pick by the time the draft ends.

IMO there is small chance that we will use our 2nd rounder.

We will be in "win to show DMC that it is the best for him to stay" mode.
there will be no place for rookie. Only 'rookie' in our team will be Diallo.

We will use this pick as a sweetener/part of the trade.

Only way we will get a rookie -it will be undrafted one.
In new CBA there are"two-way contracts" (two players with team control, who can be send to G-League)

The last two years, I have studied the history of the 2nd round very closely and its the same guys who over perform their draft positions. This article tells you the three types of guys, and as you see I projected who those guys would be in 2016, and did very well

LINK /

The guy this year will be Wesley Iwundu, Kansas State

Does everything well but shoot. Crazy length. Get him on that Tyreke, Dante, etc program and you have a very good SF

The way they have the 2 new DLeague roster spots set up makes it seem like something only UDFAs would agree too. You should do an article on those guys after the draft.

Yeah, I did one somewhere and Yogi was one of my guys.

I think history says exactly what kind of guys over perform. My guess is that they will actually be aggressive with that pick and are more likely to package it with another future 2nd to move up than to just sell it like in the past. They were/are very happy with what they did to get Diallo last year

Made a post about this few weeks back. We do have a second. Grayson Allen, Dwayne Bacon, Dillon Brooks AND Juwan Evans are all slotted to go in that range. Would be HUGE if we got 1 of those 4 as our 14th/15th man at worst.

Dwayne Bacon would be the best. We share similar names and it would be perfect for a Pels jersey
