I'm gonna assume the people that don't want Deng is because of the money he'll be getting. That's the only way you say no to Deng...Deng is a baller and that would be a homerun pickup for the Pels. Good luck finding anything better in return for EG.

dang, i thought he'd be like 32. He's been playing in the league since we were in charlotte it feels like.

Most people probably forget he was a one and done at Duke.

is eg for rr plausible?

Which begs the question:

Better lack of facial expressions: Reuben Randle or Al-Farouq?

I've seen Bulls fans that think that can get Aminu with Gordon for Deng

If that happened, I sense lots of cancer wishing will happen on the board.

Go on RealGM...they think we'll throw in Ryan Anderson just to dump Gordon, and take back a bag of dogshit in return.

Dell has said what he wants at the point guard spot multiple times.

So, what's he looking for?

Either that or give everyone a rundown of what Dell and Monty said about the point guard position.

Deng isn't too old, he would be what David West is to the Pacers only joining the team 2 years earlier.

Which gets pretty funny when all of them start talking about how bad Anderson is and how they'd be doing us a favor to take him, ESPECIALLY the Laker fans who want him as the 4 next to Howard.

An older Deng is fine. He's not a player that relies on athleticism to do his job. He's a very good basketball player with a high basketball IQ. At age 31, he's hardly any different than at age 28 barring any serious injuries. Making that trade allows us to go after a PG or SG in the draft. Unless we get a top 3 pick, I wouldn't expect Marcus Smart or Ben McLemore though. I would love Oladipo, however. I also wouldn't be mad at a Burke selection because he is gifted offensively, I just don't think he's really special.

I would not be mad with a vet joining the team but if you want a vet Id say go after Iggy in free agency and keep EG just to see how he progresses

then say you draft Burke, Porter, or Shabazz thats not a bad team...you have some veteran leadership (Iggy, Ryno, GV) with some young talent (AD, Burke/Porter, Rivers) a potential All Star (Eric Gordon) and all this would come fairly cheap with the ability to develop players while maybe attracting one or two other role players etc

I get pissed at Gordon just as much as anyone but man he is a very talented player and if he pulls his head out of his arse this could be a very talented team

my 2 cents

deng is a great player and if he was the piece to put us at great odds for a title run then yes. i just think he is a win now type of addition for us. we don't need that. we have other needs also and trading ego can possibly bring in a young guy to serve for years to come plus another piece. besides ego is gonna go for 2o+ pts more than deng anyway. but by the stats were making a latteral move efficiency wise.

deng
PPG APG RPG PER
16.7 2.8 6.5 14.96

ego
PPG APG RPG PER
16.8 3.3 1.7 15.67

hold all that injury talk. injury was part of tanking in nola. ego is good to go.

don't you people who are constantly wanting to tank every single year get tired of doing so? We are already praying for a tnak next year because we are not in win mode...ever.I don't get never wanting to win

who in the frick said a word about tanking "every sing season"? i apologize if the past two seasons were agonizing for you. the truth is what it is! from the shitty former owner/fo/coaching staff, it was evident that we had to bring in the demolition crew and start with anew foundation. if it were up to most of you, we would maybe get an eighth seed for two years then when those punk arse free agents leave to play with their bff', we'ld be no doubt a lottery team for years.

And how is that going to be any different than "those punks" that we are forever tanking for?

The worst place to be a middle of the pack team

If we get 2 years down the road and we still have Ryno, EG, and AD and people yell tank THAT'S a problem but man we are young even the Heat took a year to play together to figure things out

No one likes losing but if it allows us to better our chances in 2 years I'm in because thats what I'm looking forward to

especially in basketball. You have a very small shot at getting a star player drafting 15 and up
