What about Pilots?
Logos and colors focusing on the RIverboat variety.
I also really like "Monarchs." I think it would fit with the culture, but isn't really cheesy and terrible like most of the culturally inspired names that get thrown about.

Most of the suggestions are just awful (nothing against the people doing the suggesting, but . . . )
Anything that actually says "dawg", "swamp", "angel", "gator", "mudbug", "riverboat", etc, is blowing a huge cock.
Privateers and Brass aren't too bad, I guess. It really is tough coming up with a name that's not laughable.
