Mark Jackson is considered a motivational coach, not an X's and O's coach, like Monty. Maybe he's a better Monty but after seeing so many roster pieces misused in Monty's tenure, what most people are looking for in a coach is a tactician, not a motivator.

Mark Jackson was fired in part because his alleged ego and good assistants getting credit for being good assistants didn't mix. If you're a motivator you need to have some top flight X's and O's guys behind you.

It would be a lateral move.

looks like there are a lot of good, young coach prospects out there this go around....I'm down with Hoiberg or Miller.

Though it sounds like Chicago could be the favorite to land Hoiberg.
