Anybody else get the feeling that it’s going to be an “out of left field” type of deal?

Last night, despite Klays injury as nobody wishes injury upon anybody, shows that the west is wide open again with the potential of KD and Klay both missing all of next year. The longer that the Celtics or Lakers keep waiting, I feel like a contending team is going to make a “damn strong offer” (for the LSU fans in the room) and snag AD and we still get good value. Watch out for the Nuggets and even Portland, both teams see a chance in the West now with no more GSW

It's not 1980 anymore. He'll be back before Christmas most likely.

I've felt that way for awhile. If Boston doesn't pony up, I would hope that Clippers will come out of nowhere and make the winning bid. That's the team I consider most likely to pull the trigger. AD wants to be in LA and of the LA teams, LAC have the better assets and haven't pissed off everyone in our FO and fanbase.

Will he play next year? Yes.

Before Christmas? Hell no.

an ACL tear is a 9 month recovery. The legendary fast comeback of Adrian Peterson? Took 8 1/2 months. If Klay is back before Christmas, he will be back out with a torn ACL in under a month

Probably asw for him to at/near 100%, but I think I think he shows up in games sooner. Regardless, there is almost no chance he misses the playoffs and that's what matters.

I think my favorite out of left field offer would be a Denver package centered around Murray and Porter Jr.

Klay has an ACL tear. Barring setbacks, athletes come back from that in 6 months or less all the time these days. Often better than they were before.

KD may never be the same again which is the huge shift in offseason expectations

Given everything that happened during the playoffs with injuries, you can be sure they will be taking all precautions with regards to bringing guys back slowly and then ramping up their minutes over several games.

Because if they have another player come back from injury only to tear a quad / Achilles / ACL / whatever immediately, they will be in a world of shite.

No

I have the feeling that it’s going to be an underwhelming trade for the Pels

Nah I feel like it's gonna be the general Celtics trade.

He'll be back, but they won't get the full Klay next season.

If Denver wanted to throw Murray in, i'd take that deal in a heartbeat over anything outside of Boston with Tatum.
Other than that it would be a Lakers deal if not Boston. Ingram is the next best player we can acquire after Tatum.

I don't want Lonzo, would like next years first from Phoenix for him, then take Ingram and #4 and be done with it. Tell Boston that's what we are doing Tuesday morning if they don't offer Tatum.

Being in uniform and being "Klay" are two totally different things. Warriors will be missing weapons in 2020.

Klay was draining FT's with one knee. They can just prop him in the corner in his wheel chair and pass 3 ball shot assists to him

Trade the Brow for the Beard (AD for Harden).
