Any Pels fans care to attend the Spurs game in SA this Wednesday?

Did you mean to put this on Grindr? Or the A&M board?

I'm heading to San Antonio on the 6th (couple of days too late!). Any suggestions on things to do, places to eat, etc.? I'll be staying at the Grand Hyatt.

Congrats on the digs! Staying in SA in style

Riverwalk is a must (shops/eats along the route are legit. Touristy, but not disappointing). A riverboat tour is a neat way to see some of the sights along the river without walking the whole thing. I recommend La Gloria in the Pearl district for eats. It's a bit off the beaten path, though.

Or if you're looking for a unique experience, check out the restaurant a the top of the Tower of the Americas. HemisFair Park at the base of the Tower also has live music every Friday night, but sometimes they'll have another band on Saturdays.

I think the Spurs have a game on the 6th, as well.

Mi Tierra is very good Mexican food with a great atmosphere including table side mariachi. They also are open 24/7 IIRC so you can hit them up whenever.

My personal favorite restaurant is Tomatillo's over on Broadway. Traffic can be a bitch getting there depending on the time of day, though.

Thanks guys. I was going to check out the Spurs game against the Lakers on the 6th, but ticket prices are outrageous. Will definitely check out the spots recommended.

Tell you what--I have an extra ticket for that game, as well, if you're interested. My season tix are balcony level, but if you don't mind sitting next to a crazy Aggie/Spurs fan, it might be cool to check out the game (although usually I just drink at one of the standing room only bars at the AT&T Center ). Should be a great atmosphere for Bryant's last game in SA.

Email me at tbirdtrey@gmail.com, and I'll transfer my ticket to ya if you're interested

Wow man! Really appreciate the generosity.

Unfortunately, this is a vacation with the ole lady. She's super cool (and a huge Pels fan), but I don't think I can swing checking into the hotel at 4pm and immediately going to a Spurs game during a 3-day vacation with a TD member... Still, thanks a ton for the offer.

Totally understand, man--hope y'all enjoy your time in town!

Only reason I have an extra ticket for the next couple months is my wife is finishing up her military stint in Missouri. Her first game back in town is gonna be the Pels/Spurs game at the end of March, and she's made me promise not to give her ticket away

Hell, SA's been killing it at the Phone Booth this year, so we're probably due to catch an L. Y'all have played us pretty strong the past few years
