Another reason for optimism - Graham and Kira are GONE

Before we traded him last year, Graham was still getting 15+ minutes a night.
This year for a bottom five team in the NBA, he's scored 8 points in the last two months.
We also started Kira Lewis in a play-in game.
We're talking about Dyson or Naji or Jose. What a breath of fresh air.
Willie should feel like a moron for playing Graham over Jose and Dyson even last year.

Meh, we have people on here shitting on Willie for not playing Hawk over Naji when Hawk has been very Graham-like lately.

Hawkins in one year as a rookie has shown more than Graham did his entire time here.

Has nothing to do with my point.

Not really a fair comparison considering Hawkins by far was more impactful when he played and was also shooting at a decent percentage before being benched, gleague, rotation, gleague- no consistency. That being said recently Naji has played fairly well but hes also been given plenty of opportunities to play through his struggles or bad games which Hawkins never gets a chance to do.

One thing about Graham, though. The guy put forth max effort.

So did Garett Temple. Max effort when you suck still equals sucking.

He should at least give Matt Ryan some run. One more shooter on the floor.

Whatever Hawkins is at this current stage is incomparable to career replacement-level players like Graham/Naji etc., because those guys have already shown what they are in the league.
Hawkins is still a futures bet at this point so it's kind of apples to oranges.
