Let's use this thread to share info on appearances...free things for fans to participate in and interact with NBA players etc...

I heard they will have a smaller version of the Jam Session in Champions Square?? Any Truth to this? Info?

TIA!

ADDED:

TNT wants to party with you in New Orleans.

The cable network is throwing a four-day bash for NBA All-Star Weekend, starting Thursday night with a free show from rapper Travis Scott and continuing all the way to Sunday. It’s the “NBA on TNT Road Show,” an extension of the branding the league partner used for opening night in Cleveland.

With more Pitbull.

TNT shared its plans for the weekend with For The Win, and the takeaway is a lot of free entertainment for NBA fans who get down to the Big Easy for the big weekend. Here’s a quick look at the key elements of the schedule:

Thursday: Scott will perform as a prelude to a live edition of Inside the NBA in Champions Square. Expect this part to be fully televised, as it coincides with TNT airing the Celtics at the Bulls at 8 p.m. ET. Here’s a Travis Scott song if you aren’t familiar:

Friday: There’s another live show of Inside, though this time it’s built around the Rising Stars Challenge rookie-sophomore game.

Saturday: Pitbull is performing because Pitbull is very NBA. His performance will follow the All-Star Saturday Night events and be held next to the Smoothie King Center, again for free.

Also Saturday is the conclusion of the DewNBA3X three-on-three tournament. Shaquille O’Neal and ex-Magic teammate Dennis Scott scouted amateurs around the country to pick teams that will play alongside former NBA point guards Jason Williams and Baron Davis. It could be the most intense basketball of the weekend, frankly, and airs on TNT at 6 p.m. ET, before the regular All-Star Saturday events.

All four days: Every evening (starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Sunday and 2 p.m. on Saturday) will feature a whole bunch of free things for fans to do in the Champions Square area:
•Show off your skills at the On-Court Hoops Experience, where there will be contests, kids games and NBA legend visits.
•A Lip Sync Studio set up in case you think you’re better than Charles Barkley was.

•There’s a 24-second clock on an NBA trivia challenge.
•Inside the NBA has a few themed contests.
•And you can buy things at both a SagerStrong kiosk and an Area 21 pop-up shop, themed after Kevin Garnett’s studio at the Inside the NBA set.

If you want to attend any of these things, you probably need to figure out the logistics since it’s going to be crowded. NBAonTNTRoadShow.com has all that information and more.

Jack Daniels has event by the port.

Complex also has something going on by Royal street.

Not sure what either really entails, though.

Haha, yeah but I'm guessing there are others performing as well, along with free Bud Light if you're into that.

See the Road Show is requiring a (free) pass for Saturday Night festivities after dunk contest. Might be worth a shot to check out after. Any idea on how to obtain one?

Got great tickets for Saturday and Sunday from work and I am dreading navigating the area to park. I like parking in the outside lot next to the arena. Any ideas or just park in the dome?

The game should have been played in the dome and jam session in the SKC.
