We should stop talking about DeRozan now.

Is Derozan even being mentioned in trade talks? Raptors just gave him a new deal.

I honestly think the raps hold on to him

DD,Lowry,Gay,Val,Amid,Ross is a solid core

To gyno: I like brewer and Webster because they'll be cheap and will help without having to give up and arm and a leg.

2. The Pelicans will look hard to move this pick. Eric Bledsoe, Chandler Parsons, and Demar Derozen. Guys like this will be targeted by Dell and if he can add a young veteran who can help the team short term and long term, I think he moves the pick.

I thought this is what set off the DeRozan talk.

And the only reason I jumped in was because I was wanting to trade the pick a month ago for a DeRozan type player.

I think they'd be more open to trading him if Terrance Ross was so bad as a rookie

Just like Rivers, Ross wasn't good enough that they could automatically pencil him into the rotation going forward

I could see them doing something during the season next year if Ross shows he could be a player

Nothing concrete, but I can see him being moved. They have kind of a log-jam and a lot of dollars invested into the 2/3-- Fields, Gay, Ross, Klieza, Derozan.

Derozan prolly easiest to move to shed some contract, and resign someone like Alan Anderson.

Yeah, I internetted "Demar Derozan trade" and everything seems to be speculation, far from anything solid. The fan forum makes a good point, though: both he and Gay are poor 3 point shooters. Thing is, unless McLemore is somehow there, they aren't going to get a floor spacer with the #6 pick. I guess it would have to come down to the Raptors preferring to spend $9.5m/yr (maybe less) on a guy like JR Smith or OJ Mayo to Derozen.

CJ McCollum would fit that need. Just noticed TOR doesn't have a first this year either.

Ben McLemore is the next Xavier Henry.

You sir are an idiot...

I simply stated that because I was playing around on KenPom for an hour or so earlier and was looking at booms and busts from the last 5 or so drafts.

Ken Pom has a similar player rater that compares players of similar size and position using advanced statistics.

Ben McLemore - Kansas
Similar: '10 Xavier Henry (917), '13 Sam Dekker (913), '12 Damion Lee (903), '13 Georges Niang (899), '07 Chase Budinger (898)

Throw in the fact that Ben McLemore is an athletic freak, much like Xavier Henry was considered coming out of Kansas, and I think you would be lying if you didnt see some similarities.
Their numbers were extremely similar.

That might not be a bad comparison here.

Player A last year: 18 ppg, 45% FG, 83% FT

since Fun Brunch doesn't want to play my game.

Player A- Derozan
Player B- Gordon

Not bad for an average SG who has some dunks

Agreed

The more interesting discovery I made in my research is how much Trey Burkes year measured up to the PG's drafted in the last 5 years. Derrick Rose, John Wall, Stephen Curry all had Burke in their similar players lists. The guys offensive rating with that high of a possession rate, you can't teach that, he is the best bet to be a Star in this draft.
