Thats just stupid. It has to be part of the reason he went 0-5 in the fourth and looked tired

Obviously.

Meh, his first 33 minutes are probably the only reason it was tied going into the 4th quarter. He definitely wasn't coming out down the stretch. I don't have any issue with it.

Let's not play our best player 40+ minutes in a 0-1 series deficit? Makes sense.

Its a lot of minutes. But its in line with what most star players get, come playoff time. Especially young stars.

Lebron averaged 47 mpg his first year in the playoffs
Rose averaged 45 his first year
Durant averaged 44 a couple years ago
Wade, Kobe, Dwight, etc, all averaged 40+ minutes

What's stupid is the play of the guy backing him up, Ryan Anderson. If Ryno were his old self knocking down 3s they'd have been able to create enough offense without AD to let him rest. Someone started a thread about the lack of depth, lack of depth isn't a problem, lack of healthy depth is.

Its gonna take a while for fans to grow accustomed to playoff basketball. Its a different sport. Thats not not normal for star. Jimmy Butler sat for 2 mins.

It's a learning process for him. HUGE to get it this year on this stage.

Most of that was bc the team was throwing up bad shots hoping to get a foul call. He really didn't have too many clean looks and when he did he was starting the possession with his back to the goal hoping for a quick look to get open. IMO, the issue is too many of his possessions start above the foul line; when he gets a mismatch they should be posting him in the paint.

Larry Bird averaged 42 mpg for his playoff CAREER. I thought Bill knew his Celts history.

not a good reference in this instance. dude hates Monty more than Pels fans do.

He and others cussed Monty for not playing AD enough. Now, they hate him cause he's played to much.

This was the first time AD played 45 mins and in a playoff game.

He will have a better idea of how to pace himself now that he has played that many mins.

All part of the maturing process.

Anthony could play a double header if needed. Minutes aren't a problem for him.

Anderson really let AD down. He couldn't come in and provide any offensive support.
