Noel came into interviews with Pelicans hat on. Said he was pumped to play with Davis. Reporter told him he was traded.

So,some who is an all star is not worth drafting a guy straight out of college? What's the point? Jrue is the. Age of like a college senior. I just don't understand.

A future allstar Mclemore falls in your lap and you trade him and a more-than-likely lotto pick next year for a good PG.
Ya'll don't start crying next year when the Sixers draft an allstar with our pick.
To me, if you want a PG that bad just pick Burke, go get a FA, SF and keep your 2014. But we'll see.

Yeah Burke and McCollum may be good so lets get them. Instead of a proven commodity
Had better hope we draft top 5 next year then. 2 1st rounders (one of which is in a draft a lot of people are saying is really deep), for Holiday...don't care for it, IMO.

A future allstar in the lap, but we have a allstar now? Proven commodity> unproven potential allstar

Did Shane Larkin play Tito in Coach Carter?

Not even close to the point.
Our 2013 1st rounder for Jrue? Hell yeah.
But if everyone is correct and Holiday is as awesome as everyone says he is, then it stands to reason we won't draft in the top 5 next year. Which means we gave up 2 1st rounders for Holiday, and the Sixers get the better part of the deal.
ETA:
The only way this works out, is if we get a top 5 pick. In which case, Holiday will not have been as good as we thought.
I don't like the risk involved for the reward we are getting.

You traded a possible lotto pick next year. It wasn't one for one dude. If we had gotten the 11 this year I may feel a tad better but......

That would help but I would feel better if we got the 2013 11.

I think the Pelicans just fricked up.
It's funny how that pendulum swung. Initially I thought we were swapping picks and getting their 1st rounder next year along with Holiday.
Lo and behold, that assumption was waaaay off.

I understand that we would get a good player next year but if jrue continues to improve (being already an all-star) he would be better off the bat than anyone we would have next year.

The 6ers are throwing in the towel already for this season I guess.

Jrue Holiday has played in 298 of 312 career games. Starting in 276. Eric Gordon has not.

McLemore could be a bust. He could be a bench player. He could be an All Star. He could be a bench player.
You have no idea.
Holiday IS an all star. A young all star. An all star you are potentially pairing with Anthony Davis for the long term. Think Tony Parker and Tim Duncan. But at the beginning of their careers together. And throw in EGo and Rivers. This team is rounding into good shape. Now we need to sign a wing and move forward.
