Feel free to include reasonable carry-overs from 2011.

My humble list (which will surely change as I listen to more albums):
1. Edward Sharpe & Magnetic Zeros -- Here
2. Santigold -- Master of my make believe
3. The Shins -- Port of Morrow
4. Jack White -- Blunderbuss
5. John Mayer -- born and raised (mostly on the strength of the Walt Grace song)

Honorable mention: new B.o.B

Haven't really been impressed with that many studio albums lately, but I'll include mixtapes to feel the void.

1) channel ORANGE - Frank Ocean
2) Echoes of Silence - The Weeknd (mixtape, 2011)
3) LiveLoveA$AP - A$AP Rocky (mixtape, 2011)
4) Hello Forever - The Pro Letarians (mixtape)
5) Church Clothes - Lecrae (mixtape)

Nas's album just came out so that might be in there when I'm able to give it a listen.

Japanroids- Celebration Rock
Cloud Nothings- Attack on Memory

I bought 4 2012 albums last night (Dirty Projectors, Twin Shadow, The Men, and Father John Misty), so this top 5 could change soon.

I know I'm looking forward to it! That, Animal Collective, [eta: Tame Impala,] and Titus Andronicus are the main future 2012 releases on my radar.

Btw, if you haven't listened to DIIV yet, I think you would like them. Similar to Real Esate, Ducktails, and Wild Nothing.

Yeah, I am pretty stoked for new Animal Collective and Titus Andronicus. Very good chance those two could finish 1 and 2 on my year-end list.

Haven't listened to DIIV. I will try to give it a listen sometime soon.
