I read that, but still trying to make sense of it. So does album rock mean that a piece of music plays better as a whole album rather than just individual tracks or singles
Whether certain music plays better as albums is an artistic question and a personal preference. Certainly my favorite albums:
The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society
Van Morrison -- Astral Weeks
Love -- Forever Changes
Elvis Costello -- Imperial Bedroom
would qualify here, IMHO

For those of you who never tried The Church, I have 202 songs downloaded on my phone just from them. There's more to them than just "Under the Milkyway" and "Reptile" and their first two albums are, IMO, 2 of their 3 best.
