i don't know if you can consider SRV and Double Trouble "older" but I am.

Newer would be John Mayer Trio or Kenny Shepard.

My personal favorite-- hands down-- is Lightnin Hopkins. Here's one sample:

Also a fan of Howlin Wolf and Muddy Waters.

eta: those are obviously older. I don't really know of any new blues artists I'm a fan of.

Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown even though he didnt consider himself blues he played everything and what he called American Music. Big Band, Swing, C&W, Zydeco, Blues, etc.

Old: The KING - Albert King. Very glad to see him inducted. He was a hercules of sting bending and that is blues.

New: Joe Bonamassa - The man can play anything and everything and play it cleaner than anyone around. He's basically SRV without the dirty soul of Albert King.
