Same. Arctic monkeys first record was flawless. And their latest is really good as well.

I guess I could have sentimental value towards them because their first two albums came out my junior and senior years of high school, but I think the quality of Whatever You Think I Am That's What I Am Not and especially Favourite Worst Nightmare has genuinely held up. Each of their subsequent releases has had some good songs but overall nothing great.
They are a product of the 90s Britpop scene with a dash of The Sex Pistols and Clash thrown in. Alex Turner is a good writer.

Considering White Denim is one of the single best and most respected "new" bands out there, this isn't nearly as embarrassing as you'd think.

I saw them in Chicago in 2008 and they played exclusively stuff from Favourite Worst Nightmare and Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.
It was a great damn show. I could see not really enjoying a show with their recent releases and how the crowd would be a bunch of n00bs, because they've gained a lot more popularity in the states since 2008. They've been huge in the UK/Europe since their first release.

I really like their newest one "Do I wanna know". Not a fan of their other stuff, really.
