Creep is a Radiohead song in my world.

I was shocked and saddened by the number of people that thought "All right Now" was a Cream tune...Kos was a Claptonite, so I can kinda get the misunderstanding.

I thought for awhile that "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider was a Pink Floyd song.

I know this is probably pretty dumb but I always thought the song "All for you" was by the blues traveler. Not sister hazel.

"On The Darkside", I always thought that was Springsteen

I used to mistake "Lonely is the Night" for Led Zeppelin instead of Billy Squire.

I falsely attributed "Cat's in the Cradle", and a couple random 80's songs to Billy Joel

I thought "I'm A Believer" and "Every Day" were by the Beatles rather than The Monkeys and Buddy Holly respectfully.

"Let's Hear It for the Boy" by Deniece Williams, initially thought Madonna performed that song because the rhythm and chord progression was comparable to "Borderline" and the singles were released at practically the same time in February 1984.

I not only initially confused that song for Zeppelin, I also confused the James Gang's Funk 49 for a Zeppelin track as well

"Heartbeat" by Red 7 (Thought it was Peter Gabriel; although the lead singer of this short lived band did do work with Genesis; looking for this song in your head? MANHUNTER soundtrack from 1986).

"The Big Hush" by Shriekback (Always thought this was THE CHURCH...again, a Manhunter song).

"Turn Up the Radio" by Autograph ( I saw this in-thread, but I always thought it was RATT).

"HeadHunter" by Front 242; I thought this was Skinny Puppy.

"Supernaut (cover)" by 1,000 homo dj's with Trent Reznor singing...I assumed it was Ministry's Al Jourgenson....and Ministry performed it live in 1999 at HOB NOLA.

"Work for Food" by Dramarama ( I mean...how much like Soul Asylum can one sound like).

"Stuck in the Middle With You" was Dylan and not a Scottish rock band named Stealers Wheel.

What's funny is this song was meant to be a parody of Bob Dylan. The usage of the words "Clowns" and "Jokers" was supposed to be making fun of him.

Ironically, their only hit song was meant to be a joke.

"Lay Lady Lay" is a song written by Bob Dylan and originally released in 1969 on his Nashville Skyline album.[2] Like many of the tracks on the album, Dylan sings the song in a low croon, rather than in the high nasal singing style associated with his earlier (and eventually later) recordings.[3] The song has become a standard and has been covered by numerous bands and artists over the years, including The Byrds, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, The Everly Brothers, Melanie, The Isley Brothers, Duran Duran, Magnet, Hoyt Axton, Angélique Kidjo, Ministry, Malaria! and Lorrie Morgan

Nazareth: Now Your Messing With a Son of a Bitch

When I 1st heard that song I did know who it was by, but after AC/DC started getting some airplay I thought the 1975 Nazareth song was one of AC/DC's early hits.
