Wilco's 2000s run

What a string of great albums:
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
A Ghost is Born
Sky Blue Sky
Wilco
That is a wildly impressive artistic run...and it's just a slice of their catalogue.

I'd go back to Summerteeth and stop at Sky Blue Sky for my 4 album Wilco run (plus you have Mermaid Avenue sessions in there).

I’m weirdly a Sky Blue Sky fan.

Eh...everyone has their favorites, but I prefer the middle run where Jeff (and Jay for a bit) were really stretching their wings.

Its a great album, but its kind of apples and oranges compared to something like Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

I think Being There is their best, but I like all of them through Sky Blue Sky... I think there is a significant dip after that.. some songs here and there.. but that happens to most bands..
They still put on a great live show!

Yep. The live show is still fantastic.
Probably my favorite was at Chastain in Atlanta summer of 2007. It poured rain almost the entire show, but they were determined to put on a hell of a show. They said they'd stop when it stopped raining and it stopped raining maybe 5 minutes after that. They did 2 encores and were done. Chastain has a hard curfew since it's in the middle of a very nice neighborhood, so it just all kinda worked out that night.

Nels Cline performing the solo to Impossible Germany live should be on every music fan’s bucket list.

I say AM to A Ghost is Born is amazing including the work with Billy Bragg. Tweedy, Bennett, Stirrat, Coomer will always be Wilco but with the departure of Bennett and Coomer, they upgraded in talent IMO and you can tell in their sound like it or not. Kotche is in his own league.
I can still find a few tunes here and there.
Off Cruel Country, Many Worlds is up there with being a favorite Wilco tune especially in the 2nd half.

I was there. One of those nights where rain made for an even better experience instead of putting a damper on things, probably because it had been a very hot week/month of June. It freakin POURED. Good times!

I'm a Wilco Stan so I pretty much like everything. But Cruel Country was a great mostly return to old form. And Cousin is really good.

I have to give them an A for effort for trying to make an album as good as Trace. Too bad the failed miserably

You & I (love this live performance)
And this one
I Am Trying To Break Your Heart
(the very ending especially)

Endorsed…I miss the Jazz Fest days when you could catch Wilco and the Black Crowes back to back for $30
