I think it was Heady that went to the WSMFP show on Halloween and just streamed the Phish show on his phone. Not a bad idea IMP.

I'm the first to admit Panic can sound like a bar band on an off night. IMO, that's common with all jambands. Some nights it's slower songs and they never catch a vibe. But some nights they kill it from beginning to end, very high energy. I'll admit, they aren't as good with Jimmy as they were with Houser...although Jimmy is technically a much better guitarist. It's not just the guitar. it's a totally different band in many aspects.
I walked out of a Phish show in Vegas where Kid Rock came out and I thought it was a very sloppy show, boring overall. I had seen Phish about 50 times at that point and pretty much quit after those shows. I didn't see them again until Chicago 2012. They still aren't as good as they were in the mid-90s.

Ill take a southern rock band over a pair of grown men jumping on trampolines any day. Is panic what it was prior to Mikey's passing?.... not even close. But I still enjoy going to shows. I will be the first to admit that Trey is a great guitar player...but Phish just doesn't do anything for me. And their Chester the child molester bass player gives me the creeps.

I agree that WSP can get old pretty quick especially when they start dragging out each and every song. At times I'm like finish the song already. FTR, I haven't been to a wsp show in a few years.
