I think Nas will go down as more of a Legend b/c he rapped about a time in NY when NY rap was becoming mainstream and he was part of setting the stage. I'm a Eminem fan but his music doesn't hold up very well imo, it's hit or miss, when i listen to some of his old stuff now it's just down right corny. i think Eminem is technically a more skilled rapper but the content is not really much to it for the MOST part. with all that being said, Nas isn't in my top 10 rappers of all time.

1. pac
2. biggie
3. kanye
4. 8 ball
5. master p
6. three six mafia
7. jayz
8. game
9. lil flip
10. silk the shocker

a top ten list would all be subjective and a opinion, but holy hell.

I will say I was trying to be as objective as I could with my list.

It's hard to say, Eminem's content was to strange for me, but he appealed to alot more people than Nas ever did. They both can rhyme, I and I wont dare say who the best lyricist is, (if there is such a thing). I guess it depends on how you define legend. Is it the artist's impact on the game, album sales, quality of music, length of career? If you ask someone who considers themselves a hip hop purist they will 9 times out of 10 Nas, on the same hand if you ask a casual rap fan the will chime in with Eminem. It all depends on who you ask and how they define legend.

i would go with eminem because personally, he's one of my favorite rappers

i invite the people who are voting for nas to post a link to one song where you think he can change my mind.. i honestly don't know too much about him, so i'm not saying he's not a bigger star than slim, i just want to see if you can change my mind

Where's Common at? I'd at least think he'd make it into your top 5.
