Bruce Springsteen (even though I don't like him)

Thom Yorke. He's really erractic, although his voice hasn't been moving me since In Rainbows.

I don't even know if he qualifies as a singer.

I just think his voice has a rather unpleasant metallic edge to it. He spends too much time singing at the upper limits of his range which causes his voice to crack. Kind of like Steve Perry with a sore throat.

He was 18 when he cut "Gimmie Some Lovin'" I think that is pretty remarkable.

Yes, that is pretty remarkable. Yes, that is a great song. No, it does not make his voice sound any better. He's kind of in that Eric Clapton/Ringo Starr class. He carries a tune ok, but the sound is not smooth like, say, Burton Cummings. I am always a fan of his music, just not of his voice. JMHO

shite, he was 14 when he joined the Spencer Davis Group. They slogged around for four years, before putting out ´Gimme Some Loving´?
