Heck yeah !
His comedy/Novelty songs were the shite on am radio.
Do you remember the Dickie Goodman songs?
The kids in my neighborhood lived for those.

Girls loved dancing to Le Freak, so I thought it would be a good idea to buy the album.

ABB "Live at the Filmore East".

I am old that means most of my music in Jr high and hish school came from the local top 40 AM station, there were few FM stations, and they were "easy listening" crap, but in those days top 40 was Black Sabbath, Cream Grand Funk, Led Zep. One night I was tuning around on my old AM table top radio by my bed, and found KAAY Little Rock, Bleaker Street with Clyde Clifford. He played the whole side of ABB Whipping post from the Live at the Filmore East LP. I didn't own a stereo and went out the next day and bought a cheap stereo with turn table, and that album.

I had this whole comedy routine in HS (wittiest in the yearbook-bitch) about that song. Men without Dicks-The Safety Date.... :rimshot:

Maybe you had to be there.

My older brothers woulda sell me the shitty albums they bought and didn't want anymore. I ended up with some third eye blind, sugar ray, bare naked ladies and all that stuff when I was really young.

The first real albums I got were American beauty and slip stitch and pass
