The vocals kill Neutral Milk Hotel, The Decemberists and The Hold Steady for me. But I don't think I would like the second 2 very much even with different singers. Their singers are like nails on a chalkboard to me though.

Love DBT but sometimes Hood takes gritty to a hardcore level I don't really enjoy, same for Ben Nichols. Both are awesome when they tone it down a bit
