This. ^

So much this^

There was a time when I really really liked this song. That was before 10 lifetimes of hearing it. It's actually made me not care for all of their songs.

Some songs that continue to get airplay that should never be played again, because they are terrible to begin with..

Sweet Home Alabama- Skynyrd
D'yer Mak'er- Led Zeppelin
Bad to the Bone- George Thorogood
American Woman- Guess Who
Money- Pink Floyd
Taking Care of Business-?

"Sucking on a chili dog outside the Tastee Freeze" is the worst lyric in the history of songwriting. It's impossible to hate it too much.

Based on how much people seem to revere it, I have an irrational hatred of the song "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King or anybody else who covers it.

I'm with you. It's pretentious, self congratulatory BS.

"Lean on Me" is another that I can't stand. Seems like it should only be a kids song, which is the only time I liked it.

"California Love." It was only good the first eight million times. After that, it gets stale.

Any bastardized version of the National Anthem...especially that version by Whitney Houston.

Sing it as written!

1) I Will Always Love You-Whitney Houston (love the Dolley Parton version)

2) Greatest Love of All -Whitney Houston (love the George Benson original)

3) I'm Every Woman-Whitney Houston (Chaka Khan did a magnificent version; why Whitney covered it is anyone's guess).

Kid rocks Mashup cover of werewolves in London and sweet home Alabama.

There is nothing in life more frustrating than sitting in deadlocked traffic and getting all excited because werewolves of London starts up and then hearing that God awful kid rock cover.

These lyrics makes me want to murder infants:

quote:

And we were trying different things
We were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake
to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle
not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing sweet home Alabama
All summer long
