Their new album is complete shite from start to finish. I know they've gone a bit off the rails somewhat on the last 2 albums, but there were always mostly good material on all their releases. They've gone full retard on All Together Now. Biggest disappointment of the 2014 releases for me. RIP BTE

Aside from 1 album 20 years ago, when have they ever been good?

Their 90's output was stellar up to and including "How Does Your Garden Grow" which is their pinnacle in my opinion. Their 2000's stuff started to show some deviation to cheesy pop garbage which was limited to a song or two on the album (Juicy for example). I can forgive the indulgent pop thing here and there if the majority of the rest is pretty solid. But this latest abortion sounds like something from a shitty Disney kids show. If that's what they were aiming for, then they nailed it.

In what way? There are a few clunkers on the album....Insane really does have a Kids Bop sound to it, but there are some good songs on the album, albeit different from the earlier stuff.

Actually, the song that sounds the most like their earlier stuff, Shut Up and Dance, is only available via digital release. They probably could have added that song to the album and moved insane, undeniable or one or more of the other 'juicy' songs to the digital release and the album would have balanced more.

Back to the original question though. If KG is "over it" why even put out an album and tour? I'm sure he's doing fine on the songwriting where he doesn't need it..

I really disagree with this. They're always dicking around which is annoying as hell to me. Maybe I should have seen them in a place where half the audience isn't their BFF's or something. But generally when I go to a concert I want to see the planned out, professional show, not some show where everybody is jerking around and being dumb.

I agree. I've never had a bad time at a BTE show.

They never were really that good. Deluxe was a good effort but their music hasn't aged well. I still like King of New Orleans. That's about it.

Surprise was great-ish
Deluxe was good
After that, they lost and edge they had... and I recall one or two decent pop songs...
I couldn't tell you one song by them worth a shite, from probably the mid 90s on..
