What happened to Anders Osborne?

Guy walked out on stage tonight for the Nevilles concert, with a cane, and looked frail as hell. Couldn't hold his guitar - was on a stand the entire song he played. Get well soon.
And, that concert was a total shite show of epic proportions. Las Vegas style schlock. Just horrid. RIP the Neville Brothers because that concert was crap.

Damn...that sucks to read. Can you expand on your thoughts?

Two thoughts:
1. It was very much like those music shows that PBS airs during their pledge drives - overly slick and emceed to death. The very opposite of what the Nevilles were. The actual group only played a grand total of 4 songs last night, and they just weren't into it (and the crowd was very quiet, and despite being "sold out" the Saenger was approx 70% filled). Art's niece was the emcee and she talked as much as the total amount of music played. Plus, Cyril's son was heavily featured and he is not only the least talented Neville, he might be the least talented musician in the damn world. Thank god for Ivan Neville because he kept the groove alive for the better part of the show.
2. In their prime, the Nevilles were fairly criticized for making studio albums that were bland as compared to their live acts. Last night, sadly, their live act matched the studio albums.

Wow, that explains a lot. I saw him a couple of weeks ago in Atlanta and was disappointed. Severe back pain would explain a lackluster show.
Here's hoping he gets better.

One has to wonder if Anders' history with opiates restricts the medication he can use with his back. Hope he gets better.

That is pretty much the same thing the NOLA.com review said. Sad.
