Why don't you post the songs with artists names? You expect everyone to know the songs you like?

THIS, was a dodgey song I posted purposefully, to see how y´all reacted.

I´ve already said I´ll include the artist or band with the song, in the future.

When I YouTubed it, a Cat Stevens version popped up.

The Tremeloes, in their prime, were right there with the Beatles.

I recently learned about the Dave Clark Five, introduced to me with the exact same line.

Gusto, The Dave Clark Five were certainly up there for awhile, probably five minutes, but the Tremeloes, no. As I said, it was a joke.

Nevertheless, it´s never been a secret that I think Smashing Pumpkins are massively overrated, but I absolutely love Ava Adore, and four songs more.

I find their body of work tedious and repetitive.

Maybe overall but Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness are classics and are definitely the best of the 90s and modern rock.

You are correct, but neither are solid, song for song. This is what I meant to say.

The weakest song ought to be brilliant, of it´s own accord.

Otherwise, it´s not a GOAT. Both are very good albums, IMHO.

I´m going over it now, 1979, Perfect and Ava Adore are absolute virtuoso material, I still can´t find the fourth I mentioned. I´ll be back.

Haven't heard that one. Pretty cool. Their best stuff seems to be the ones that weren't their most popular... Yellow (album Gish) and Drown (Singles Soundtrack) are two of my favorites of theirs. Their radio stuff, outside of Today and Cherub Rock, was very :meh:, to put it kindly.

There are few, IMO, that offer that and one is Led Zeppelin IV.

You might laugh because I see alot of hate on this board for it but a few 311 albums have all solid songs.

Agreed. Although I'm not sure how many you include on a list of GOAT. If its top 100 I would include Siamese Dream.

They were a special band in a tumultuous time for music. It didn´t help that they personally were ´special´. The world was screaming for reciprocicity, and Billy didn´t give it to them.

Not bad, nor good, people are people.

I personally feel this fed their aura of ´interesting´.

Talent, good God they had it. They were in a moment when ´divas´weren´t coddled.

I think that shattered them, as Billy and the crew knew they were super special, but would never be considered as such.

Billy also was a super prima donna, which didn´t help as per the group.
