I guess you can include CDs, tapes or whatever. It can be whatever YOU find to be the most valued thing or maybe the most monetarily significant thing. Just one of those things where if the house was on fire you would grab it before worrying about the kids or the dog. Please no downloads.

I have mint condition LPs of the first three Big Star records; #1 Record, Radio City and Third Sister Lovers. Also have my copy of GBV Bee Thousand that I got Uncle Bob Pollard to autograph at Howlin Wolf back in '95.

Your records. Tell me them.

I'd say the German version of Beck's "Odelay" that I got in Munich the summer it came out.

I bought every Beatles record the day of release in the US. After Sgt Pepper I bought 2 of each. One to spin and one to sell to the highest bidder. Also still have my copy of Big Bamboo with paper intact.

I have an Dave Matthews Band album titled, "Secret" that was taped live from a festival in the UK in 1995. It has a bunch of early rough drafts of some of his most famous songs like Warehouse and Ants Marching that have different lyrics. It was a sublime find and I've researched the album online in depth finding nothing about its existence.

I have a live album by R.E.M. that predates their first proper release (Chronic Town EP) and is all songs that were never recorded in studio versions or revisited afterward. It's called "So Much Younger Then". To be fair, the songs aren't quite as good as the stuff on the first few albums but then, almost nothing is that good IMO. By that measure it's a damn good bunch of songs.
