The dome was packed. Great show. Great album. Played Saints are Coming and the place rocked. Steve Gleason rocked it tonight too. Awesome night. Not garbage.

Totally agree. Saw them in Houston earlier this year and the New Orleans show was far and away better. Ending with I Will Follow was fantastic.

For a band that had "trouble filling the Dome" the place was absolutely packed.

OP is a fig. U2 the GOAT

Dome was packed, but thanks to cheap prices on the secondary market. I paid $44 for a ticket on Vivid Seats the morning of the concert and was surrounded by folks who paid about $125 for those same seats.

That being said, Beck and U2 were great. Crowd was awesome. Well worth it.

That one from 1987 doesn't have the Nov. 28th date at MTSU. Added show, sold out, 11,000-ish. Was there!!! So cool.

I remember when the PMAC used to get concerts. Saw Metallica there circa 1992. I was a bit too young in '87 to go see U2.

It was a good show. The sound was spotty, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Larry with the Saints shirt and "I believe in you" was a nice touch.

I knew the politics were going to be prevalent, but weren't as bad as I was expecting. My son saw them this tour at Bonarroo and gave me a heads up during the show. I've seen them several times, so I knew what I was getting into.

I was a Soph at LSU in 1987. The U2 concert was on Thanksgiving night as campus was a ghost town since school had let out for the break. I bootlegged the show and ended up losing the cassette during a move.

Bono did an exceptional job on Red Hill Mining Town. People around us were mulling around a lot during it and One Tree Hill, which was almost as good. That was kind of frustrating. Red Hill was NEVER performed until this tour and was great to hear live. One Tree Hill and Walk On are probably my favorite U2 songs and One Tree Hill was like a unicorn on past tours. That was worth the price of admission.

Yeah, and I had pretty much decided to boycott them, but tickets were so cheap, I buckled and bought lowers for 60 bucks on Wednesday and took my two sons.
